Reids New Buddies

It's funny to think that Reid is at the age of having friends over to play. Almost every morning, Reid asks, "Mommy, can we call Andrew and see if he can come over and play?"

They love their movies!

This is Reid and Andrew at Oddysey. It's kind of like Chucky Cheese. They loved it. I even got to play too!

New Years Resolutions'

SO, I have decided today after reading an email from grandma Theone, that my New Years Resolution should be...staying up to date on this blog I started for you all. Since Travis has been home, I don't really spend a lot of time on the computer anymore. But being as I don't have a job at the moment, I should work on it a little more. I mean come on...you can only spend so much time everyday on the laundry, dishes, and whatever shenanigans Reid throws my way ;-).

We arrived in Washington in November with the help of the in-laws. I am so glad we had Mark and Marys' help. The trip took about three days and was a breeze. The greatest part about it, was that Reid did not get car sick at all. I think everyone was worried about that one. He was so excited about his Daddy being home and talking too much.

It took us about a week and a half to find a house on base. It's small but cozy. (Maybe I will post some pictures of it later). I am still kind of working on getting things up on the walls. I really want to paint, but I am not sure how long we will be living here, as we have talked about finding a place off base. Though I DO like the feeling of security on base. Has more of that 'small town' vibe we both grew up with.

Since arriving we have met many people that welcomed us with open arms. Honestly, I can't believe how fast we met people. I can recall in Arkansas, there were many Saturday nights the first month or two, spent on the couch, in front of the tube, just Travis and I, alone. Boo-hoo ;-)

Okay okay. I think this is enough rambling for today. I am going to try and find some decent pictures (from one of our many cameras) that I can post. Until next time! Happy New Year!!!

Warmer weather. Woo-Hoo!!!!

I am so glad that the weather has been nice. Reid is VERY happy about it too. Now that he is never sick any more(he had his tonsils and adenoids removed and tubes put in his ears during Christmas time for those of you who are wondering), he wants to spend every minute he is awake, outside. It's funny how quickly he is worn out. Just today he came in for a snack, went in to watch a little television, and fell asleep so fast he didn't even finish his cookies. Poor kid. Oh well. It shouldn't take him long to get into shape. Hopefully the same goes for me!

Reids "Playground"

This weekend Reids Nana bought him a swing set and naturally he wanted it set up right away when we got it home. Papa said "Lets go!" They rushed outside and started the assembly. Meanwhile, I was relaxing in front of the tube after a tiring few hours of grocery shopping. After about an hour, Nana came inside and I asked how things where going. She told me to look outside so I did and not much had changed from an hour ago. So I put my shoes on and went out to help.

What a disaster! Poles where to wide, screws where to short, things where to tight! Whoever was working quality control at the place where this was packed was not doing their job. Anyway, a few hours, cuss words, and a trip to town for longer lock nuts later, it was finished, and Reid was the happiest kid in the world!

Oh, Spring Already!

I just have to say that today was a wonderful, beautiful day(about 50) and I did NOT miss the snow at all. It was missed greatly while we were in the south and I could not wait for the day to sled or get pulled on a tube behind the four wheeler. This winter it seemed the snow was never ending. We definatly had a white winter and it was gorgeous but....bring on the green!!!!!!
